Happy self-employed-iversary to me! Last week was officially one whole year since I packed up my desk at my 9-to-5 job and went off on my own to work as a freelance copywriter. Since then, I’ve had some amazing opportunities, met incredible clients and fellow freelancers, and learned a lot of things that, looking back, I couldn’t have predicted in June last year when I was sharpening my pencils and waiting for my first client to make an appearance.
To celebrate my year in freelance, I had the chance to guest post on one of my favourite blogs (one that has always been a huge supporter and friend of Desk Life Project), Ladies Who Launch! Emma from Ladies Who Launch published my story to their blog last week, and I thought this would be a good chance to share it here too for anyone who is in their first year of freelance life and wondering what the heck they’re doing this for. Hop on over to the LWL blog to read about what I’ve learned from a year of freelance:
